How did America and the great countries legislate their constitution from the Holy Bible?
The Holy Bible is a book of life, and it is the living and powerful word of God throughout the ages. We must adhere to it and read it, both the Old and New Testaments, in order to understand and see how the constitutions of the Western countries and the great countries were based on and derived from this Book.
If you search for “the US Constitution and the Holy Bible”, you will find this phrase: “The Constitution is not a Christian document, but it is a document that was written by Christians, and every idea or concept found in the Constitution of the United States can also be found in the words of God in the Holy Bible. With access to all of the great books of the world, they chose the Holy Bible with its two Testaments, the Torah and the Gospel, as the basis of the constitution.”
The conformity of both the amendments and the clauses of the Constitution with the Holy Bible:
There are 27 constitutional amendments, and the first ten of them, just like the Ten Commandments, are the basic rules before the amendments. They are the tools and foundations on which the establishment of the state and the federal government is based. As for the remaining 17, they were revised, or corrected, or modified only about a hundred years ago, and they were the auxiliary tools to stabilize and consolidate the freedoms stated in the first ten.
The American Fathers found in the Holy Bible the perfect formula for the legislation and the constitution to be based on. Just as the Ten Commandments give the subordination, obedience, servitude, and complete submission to the LORD God, in the same way they made the allegiance and obedience to the law and the constitution; they followed the same basics of the commandments of the LORD.
The Constitutional Amendments:
1- Freedom of Religion, Speech and the Press.
Contrary to the common belief that all the followers of the Abrahamic religions, as they call it, are exclusionary, reject those who do not belong to their religion, and do not respect the freedom of religion. In terms of respecting ‘the freedom of religion’, Christianity surprises us by its acceptance of the others just the way they are.
For example, we find in 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 about the one who embraces the Christian faith yet is married to another religion:
“If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband”
The Holy Bible commanded that even if your partner is a non-believer and does not follow your faith yet he/she consents to live with, then you should stay with him/her.
We also see the respect and the acceptance of others as they are, in Ezekiel 44:9 and Leviticus 22:25. The Holy Bible also commanded, regarding the stranger and the unbeliever, in Exodus 22:21 “Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt”.
If you search in the Holy Bible for “ye were strangers,” you will find how the LORD God always reminds the Jews to have mercy on the strangers (i.e. people of other religions) who are living among them, as they were once strangers themselves in the land of Egypt. And indeed, Palestinians, Arabs, and Christians who live in Israel assert that they enjoy the freedom of practicing their beliefs in the Jewish system.
Leviticus 19:33-34 “And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”
The LORD God did not ask randomly, but He has rather specified that we should love the stranger and him who is different from us by faith, as ourselves. And He did not only command this, but He also said that there is a reckoning to whomever oppresses strangers and people who are different whether by ethnicity, race or religion.
In Malachi 3:5 “And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.”
For example, this matter appears clearly in the way Western countries deal with the Muslim refugees, whereas Muslims’ only concern is how to obliterate the civilization of the West and replace it with the Islamic Caliphate, whether by excessive procreation or by exploiting the democracy. They oppress the Christians and persecute everyone who opposes them in the countries they have seized, while you find the Western countries welcome them with open arms and provide them with housing, pensions, schools, and medical care. Today we understand the reason behind it; it is the mercy and justice that prevail in the Western laws, which were inspired by the Holy Bible.
So the legislation of the LORD God, whether in the Old Testament or the New Testament, is one, it is based on mercy and justice, thus any legislation that diminishes the dignity of the other, and is discriminating and racist towards him, is not from God, but rather from the anti-God.
2- The Right to Bear Arms.
This amendment of the American Constitution gives the Americans the right to own and carry weapons in their homes to defend themselves. It may surprise some that the Gospel has mentioned the same right in Luke 22:36 “and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”
In the case of an attack, the right of self-defense is a legitimate right in Christianity. We also read in the Old Testament in Exodus 22:2 “ If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.”
So each of the two Testaments permits bearing arms for the purpose of self-defense, not to attack the other.
3- The Housing of Soldiers.
This is what distinguishes the Western countries, for the Arab countries are completely deprived of it. This amendment states: “No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.” There is no such thing as ‘captivity’ in the US Constitution. This amendment came from the Holy Bible in Deuteronomy 20:19 “When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down.” The Holy Bible did not give the soldier the right to harm or occupy the property of others.
4- Protection from Unreasonable Searches and Seizures.
This is what we unfortunately see in the Arab countries, where the secret services have the right to break into any house, under the pretext of searching it, and turn the place upside down; they could also confiscate some things as seizures, and all of you are fully aware of what I am talking about. In America these things were prohibited, like raiding houses and searching places without a required legal warrant. Also looking at people’s documents and files is not allowed, for respecting the privacy of the house and the information must be taken into consideration.
We read in the Holy Bible the story of the Amalekites that it was prohibited and forbidden for Saul’s men to take from the properties of the Amalekites, so when Saul’s men violated the LORD’s commands and took from the sheep and cattle, the wrath of the LORD was upon Saul and the Spirit of the LORD left him, and the end of Saul and his men was death. In the book of Joshua 6:18 “And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.”
Also in Joshua chapter 7, when Achan, the son of Carmi of the tribe of Judah, committed a trepass against the LORD and took from the accursed things, he was stoned in the valley of Achor as a punishment. And we find in the Holy Bible that the 10th commandment says: “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”
So the Holy Bible did not just prevent touching the proprties of others, but also prevented coveting what is not yours.
5- Protection of Rights to Life, Liberty and Property.
Protection of Rights to Life, Liberty and Property.
“No person shall be held captive, nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation, nor shall any person be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”
This is a continuation of what was stated in the fourth amendment.
The Holy Bible is full of many verses that preserve the freedom of man and his right to a decent life, as it gives him the right to a life in accordance with his humanity. The uniqueness of Christianity from other religions lies in the way it sanctifies man through the commandments stated in the Holy Bible; by the prohibition of theft, murder and adultery, all of which aim into preserving the rights of the other. You can find in the book of Exodus chapter 22 complete verses whose main theme is the protection of properties.
6- Rights of the Accused Persons in Criminal Cases.
To this very day, human rights organizations are still demanding for the rights of the prisoner. It is true that he has made a mistake, but he has the right of a fair trial and to serve his sentence in a way that does not degrade his humanity.
In the American Constitution, the accused shall enjoy the right to a quick and public trial by an impartial jury, to obtain witnesses he chooses to witness in his favor, and to have the assistance of a lawyer for his defense.
The Holy Bible was the first to regulate the way in which a prisoner, or an involuntary manslaughter, or a trespasser must be dealt with, when it ordered to designate cities called “cities of refuge”. According to the Holy Bible, there is a city in Israel considered as a city of refuge, to where the murderer flees from the hand of the revenger of blood, as we see in the book of Numbers 35:11-12
“Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.”
Also in Isaiah 43:9
“Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified.”
The Holy Bible gave the accused the right to bring witnesses. If you look in the Holy Bible into the books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Exodus, you will find in them precise details, and clear legislations on how to make laws for every matter related to the judiciary, jurors, judgments and both big and small cases regarding the way people interact with each other.
7- Rights in Civil Cases.
The Holy Bible, in its Old Testament (the Torah) and the New Testament (the Gospel), has legislated in all cases, starting with fruits, scales and weights, up to major cases such as murder, with its provisions, and theft. It did not leave any gap, small or big, but dealt with it, and gave us the way in which we can handle and fairly judge each case in a way that pleases all parties.
8- Preventing Excessive Bails, Fines and Punishments.
We find in Deuteronomy 25 the law of scourging the offender, for whipping was a punishment stated in the law at that time, as long as the number of lashes does not exceed the man’s fault. That’s where the idea of punishing the offender as fits his crime has started.
We find in Exodus chapters 21-22 the compensation for every sin, starting with oxen and calves, intentional or unintentional killing, down to bone breaking, disabling, injuring, causing abortion, and many other things. It may not occur to us that these laws and details are found in the Holy Bible, but the LORD God preceded and gave us all the necessary legalisations thousands of years ago.
9- Abolition of Slavery.
In the two Testaments of the Holy Bible, the LORD God has completely prohibited slavery. That was clearly stated in Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
10- The Right to Nationality.
Grant the citizenship to those who are born on the American soil and guarantee to protect them anywhere in the world.
In the Book of Exodus, chapter 12, you’d find that the same laws are applied to children of Israel as well as to “the one who is born in the land”. So they are required to treat the homeborn, and the foreigner stranger who lives among them, just as the Jew is treated.
If we move to the method of dividing the federal government according the US Constitution, we’d find that it is divided into three sections: judicial, legislative, and executive.
In Isaiah 33:22 “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king.”
The first three words at the beginning of the US Constitution says: “We the people” which means that the constitution is from the people and for the people. The people in America come in the first place, not the president or the government, unlike what is practiced in the countries that adore the so-called the “caliphate”. Once the Caliph sits on the throne of power, you cannot dethrone him for he claims to be the successor of Allah on earth, who judges as Allah commands. Whereas in the powerful countries, the president is an employee who has a fixed time in which he rules according to the elections. He is entitled to be elected once or twice because the nation needs a new young blood, new ideas and a new impetus; and this is the difference.
Then the Constitution says: “in Order to form a more perfect Union”.
In the Holy Bible, there are many verses that say: “so that they may be one, as we are one” and “for the sake of the unity of the children of the LORD” so the idea of one nation is also derived from the Holy Bible.
The following phrase in the Constitution states: “Establish Justice”
In Psalm 82:3 we read: “Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.”
And in Proverbs 21:3 “To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.”
Then it says “Insure Domestic Tranquility” (i.e. ensuring the national security)
In the Holy Bible, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, the LORD God’s reward was giving His people the peace in the land they live in, and for the king the peace during his era. This was the guarantee and also the sign of God’s contentment towards them.
In Leviticus 26:6 “And I will give peace in the land.”
Isaiah 30:15 “in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength”
“Provide for the Common Defense” So that each state does not establish an independent army under the federal government, but rather have one common defense and army. And this is exactly what the tribes of Israel had applied whenever they were under attack.
In Judges 1:3 we see how the tribe of Judah had requested aid from the tribe of Simeon in their war against the Canaanites; even though the tribe of Judah was about 76,500 fighters while the tribe of Simeon was few in number. We also read about the alliance between the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh.
“Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”
The Christian faith is the first and the only faith in the world that calls for the freedom of man and his deliverance from the various slavery rituals. We read in Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”.
In Christianity, we are not judged according to the law of Moses, but rather according to the law of liberty given to us in Christ.
Hence, we understand that the constitution, with its laws and text, has literally been inspired by the Holy Bible.
At the end, we understand why America is the greatest country in the world, why the great countries are called great countries, and why we are called the third world countries.
We can see clearly the teachings of the Holy Bible, starting with their legislation and constitution down to the smallest details. While the people of the Arab world are a dog-eat-dog society, and deprived of the lowest levels of human rights as well, because they did not depend on the Holy Bible but preferred ‘desert legislations’ that did not do them justice, but rather made them live at the mercy of their presidents, each of whom thinks that he is ‘the ruler by the order of Allah’. That’s why when one of them comes to power, he stays till he dies, then he hands it to his son, and later to his son’s son, and so on. They come to America because America preserves their freedom and rights, but at the same time they want to enforce the Sharia of their religion in it. If they were able to do that, then within only fifty years, America would become one of the third world countries, and the descendants of those people would go searching for another great country to help them preserve their rights.
At the end, I would like to point out that the American Constitution is nearly 300 years old, and all that you see in America from strength, greatness, civilization, domination over the world, technology and reaching to the outer space, etc., is only a few years old. Here, you must stop and ask how our culture and the middle eastern countries that are 10.000 years old were made backwrad.
The answer is in the constitution. If it were derived from the Holy Bible, the Arab nations would have enjoyed freedom, dignity and rights.
