Astral projection ( the out-of-body experience )

The theory of astral projection is based on the fact that every person has two bodies: a tangible physical body, and a spiritual body. Its followers claim that through certain practices, the spiritual body (soul) can leave the physical body to see other worlds, and return afterwards.
Practitioners of astral projection are divided into two types: Entertainment enthusiasts, who are interested in fortune-telling, horoscopes, energy centers, chakras, etc., or those who deify themselves, and want to earn for themselves supernatural gifts and abilities without believing in the LORD God, and without even praying.

There are four types of astral projection:
1- Lucid dream:
It is the ability to control one’s dream, while being aware that it’s a dream, and to lead the events and characters of the dream as desired.
2- Telepathy:
Some people claim that they are able to transmit certain messages, information, or feelings to another person in another country, without any direct physical contact.
3- Remote viewing:
Some claim that they are able to see what is happening in another place or on another planet while having their body stay in its place.
4- Out-of-body experience:
This is the most dangerous type of astral projection, and it has three types:
1. Involuntary astral projection:
When the soul leaves the body without the person’s will, for example, in accidents, when the person claims that he ascended to heaven, or that he went to other worlds and saw them, then returned to his body again.
2. Unconscious projection:
This type occurs when a person loses the sense of time for a while, for example, when you travel by plane, you close your eyes to fall asleep for a short time, but your mind remains awake.
3. Full astral projection:
Here, the followers of astral projection practice to reach a full state of astral projection, where they are required to meditate and do many other procedures; such as removing the accessories, wearing loose fitting clothes, listening to music, and even using drugs.
They begin with meditation, then practice Lucid dreaming, and afterwards, they move to the stage of astral projection, through which their souls leave their bodies. According to their belief, there remains a thin line between the soul and the body so that the soul can return to the body again.

The history of astral projection:
It is unknown when the thought of astral projection began, but the oldest images indicate that the pharaohs believed in it, as we see in some pharaonic drawings, where a person is stretched out while his soul is hovering over his lying body, also the sign of the hands raised above the head, which indicates having divine abilities.
Also in Hinduism, we notice in the book of Mahabharata, that many Hindu monks, both ancient and modern ones, practiced astral projection, and even its practitioners gain dignity in the eyes of the people, for example, “Drona”, one of the Hindu saints, of whom was said – according to their legends – that his soul was coming out of his body in order to go to check on his son, if he was still alive, and then go back to his body again.
The same is true in the Chinese and Japanese cultures; in China, there is “Taoism”, that believes in astral projection, and in Japan they call it “Aikido”, and they believe that if you have an enemy, your soul can leave your body to go and curse him or harm him for you.
Astral projection has different schools, such as Hermeticism and Theosophy.
And despite the different names of the gods from Hinduism, Buddhism and the Ancient Egyptian religion, one fact remains, which is that astral projection leads you to follow another god.

The opinion of science on astral projection:
Science firmly denies the existence of the so-called astral projection and considers it mere fantasies and hallucinations as a result of an exaggerated stimulation of the brain, where the person meditates while keeping his mind conscious by putting an alarm next to him to help him return from the other world, and by this, he pushes his brain to imagine bein in another world, and as a muscle tension, which can cause catastrophic problems for the body, brain tension too can cause irreversible problems.

What did the scientists rely on to deny the validity or existence of astral projection?
Scientists checked and researched for information brought by people claiming to be experts in astral projection, for example, Ingo Swann, who claimed that his soul reached Jupiter in 1978, and gave 65 unknown pieces of information about Jupiter, and after checking these information, they found that 30 of them were false, and 11 were true, but were available in books, and the rest of the information cannot be verified except for one piece of information, which was true, and based on the incorrectness of swann’s experience and the large number of claims of souls leaving the body, the astral projection theory failed scientifically.

If you search for astral projection, you will find tens and perhaps hundreds of articles that attract your curiosity to practice it, but you will not find an article that tells you about its victims. and this is what I present to you:
• In 2017, a doctor named “Kadil Raja” killed his doctor mother, father, and sister with an axe he had bought from Amazon, and burned their bodies one by one everyday in the bathroom tub, and because he failed to conceal his crime, he burned the entire house and escaped, and when he was caught afterwards, it was revealed that he performed demonic practices, and that he was practicing astral projection.
• Also in 1997, the police found the bodies of thirty-nine people, who had alternately recorded a video telling each other that they were ready to witness UFOs, and the investigations revealed that they were drug addicts and practitioners of astral projection, and perhaps this was a mass practice of astral projection which led to everyone’s death.
• An Indian teenage girl hanged herself, and in her room, they found books and videos about astral projection.
• An incident that shocked the people in Aleppo, Syria, which is the death of a girl, who had told her friend on the night of her death that she was goin to try astral projection.

The dangers of astral projection:
Astral projection is no fun at all, rather, it is so dangerous it can take your life, or in the best scenario, may lead to hallucinations or a disconnection from reality, it may also lead to paralysis or bleeding in the brain.

Astral projection and religions:
“Astral projection” is strictly forbidden in Judaism and Christianity. As for Muslims, just by searching in Arabic for “astral projection” in the search engines, you will find that all the teachers, practitioners and trainers of astral projection are Muslims, we won’t find any Christian among them.
The reason for this is due to an incident that Muslims claim to have occurred with the Messenger of Islam Muhammad, which is the Isra and the Mi’raj: Arab and Western thinkers affirm that the incident of the Isra and Mi’raj is a kind of astral projection, as it is said in the Isra that Muhammad rode a winged beast (it was not determined whether it was a horse or a donkey.) and flew from Saudi Arabia to Israel to a mosque that did not exist at the time, called Al-Aqsa Mosque, prayed there and then returned. Researchers say that the whole incident is nothing more than an astral projection for several reasons, including:
1- The absence of witnesses, as Muhammad was the one who narrated it without any evidence
2- The transportation method is similar to today’s astral projection practitioners’, as you can also find among them those who rode an eagle, a winged horse or a cloud, and Muhammad rode according to what he said Al-Buraq (a winged beast).
3- The destination mentioned by the Messenger of Islam Muhammad did not exist at the time, as it was not yet built, e.i., Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Muslims have not been able for over 1600 years to prove its existence historically.
In addition, if it existed, why didn’t Muslims pray in it during the era of Muhammad?
The Muslim Sheikhs tried to respond to the thinkers with a verse from the Qur’an that says: “he who took his servant.” saying that the word “servant” means that Muhammad moved in body and soul, that’s why most of the followers of astral projection are Muslims from different denominations.

Astral projection in the Christian faith:
Astral projection is rejected in the Christian faith and angers the LORD God, as the Holy Bible prevents us from approaching the spiritual world in Deuteronomy 18, under the title “Wicked Customs.”
“10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
Christians consider that if there was a so-called astral projection, countries would have used it for espionage purposes, or science would have saved huge sums of money by using astral projection to reach space instead of costly space flights.
Astral projection, apart from being illusions and hallucinations, is just a demonic possession. Everyone who tried to experience it, agreed that after meditating, and at the beginning of their awaited journey of the soul, they saw a black figure sitting next to them, which stopped many from continuing, they knew perfectly well that he was Satan, who is waiting for you to surrender yourself by performing certain rituals, you will be in his hand, and he will impose deceptive spirits on you, making you feel that you are transporting to other worlds, but by then, it will be difficult for you to go back, because you’ve opened your heart for Satan to dwell in.
In Christianity, we do not need false satanic gifts that will make us loose our peace, sleep, mind and perhaps our lives, we have real miracles that are much more important and are much deeper, and a rapture not only of the soul, but of the soul and the body together, while the servants of other gods seek to acquire spiritual gifts by chanting prayers or by practices and meditations. The Holy Spirit gives us gifts and talents freely, and while Satan gives them lies and deception, he steals from them their free will, causing insomnia and even madness and hallucinations. The LORD God offers us free gifts with divine wisdom that increases our knowledge.
The raptures in the Holy Bible:
1. Paul’s rapture into the third Heaven. (2 Corinthians 12).
2. Ezekiel was raptured to prophesize of the dead. (Ezekiel 37)
3. The rapture of Philip after the baptism of the Ethiopian eunuch. (Acts 8)
4. The Spirit of the LORD takes Elijah the prophet from one place to another. (1 Kings 18)
We conclude that the gifts of the LORD God are given with power and generosity, and most of them are in front of eyewitnesses, and for tasks that the LORD God entrusts to His servants, but we do not obtain them according to our whims and desires, or for the purpose of amusement, or by prayer or request, but rather the LORD grants them to whom He wills according to the benefit of the Church and the believers.
The LORD God warns us in (Leviticus 20) and (Deuteronomy 12) against the worships of nations, and against drifting to their evil practices, because the price is very high, as those who committed suicide didn’t only lost the earth, but also their eternity.
Concluding with Ephesians 6:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
